We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of the human race, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ is true God and true man. We believe Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and visible return to earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
We believe that humanity was created by and for God; that as a consequence of Adam’s disobedience to God every human being has incurred the sentence of both physical and spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who turn from sin and place their trust in Him are declared righteous and come into right relationship with God.
We believe that all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe as a result of regeneration, the Holy Spirit then indwells the believer and empowers them for life and ministry.
We believe that the Church, which is the body of Christ and of which Christ is the Head, is made up of all who have been truly born again.
We believe that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God for the well-being of mankind and the propagation of the human race. It is the spiritual and physical union of one man and one woman according to Scripture.
We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who is still working in the world to perpetuate sin and destroy the souls of all those who were created in the image of God (mankind) and that he, all his angels, and all who do not by faith receive Christ as Savior and Lord will be judged and condemned in His final victory over sin and death and hell.
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, final judgment, the eternal life of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
We believe every human being is created in the image of God.
We believe through God our creator and through the truths of Scripture we are given meaning and purpose to our lives.
We believe sin has caused our relationship with God, with others and our perception of ourselves to be marred by our own rebellion against God through our sinful choices. These choices bring spiritual, emotional and intellectual harm to ourselves and to those around us. The same sinful choices of others (e.g. family and society) can also cause us harm if not addressed appropriately.
We believe that Scripture is the foundational authority in counseling. Conclusions and observations from the behavioral sciences are useful and necessary, but they must be subject to the authority of Scripture. We believe that the Scriptures are relevant to our everyday life and offers great wisdom concerning relationships, communication, emotions, finances and family issues.
We believe prayer is powerful. We believe God hears and desires for us to call out to Him. We believe that calling upon God through prayer is an essential part of healing.
We believe physiological imbalances may be the cause of some disorders. Most often an organic aspect of a disorder cannot be corrected by counseling alone, but requires the attention of a medical specialist.
We believe people may experience behaviors caused by demonic influence and/or oppression.
We believe that complete healing can never take place without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This healing takes place through the working of God in Jesus Christ and by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit which brings change to one’s heart. Heart changes bring life changes.
We believe the Church is a community of believers that fosters accountability, healing and spiritual growth. We are here to support the work of the local churches by helping churches care for people. We work with the local Church by ministering to anyone within the Church body who requires more time and/or expertise than can be provided by Church staff.
We believe that there may be situations that cause a person’s view of God to be distorted, which causes them to never embrace the truths of Jesus. In situations like this, Pastoral Counseling can play a strategic role in discipleship and maturation.
We believe when life changes without warning, we need God and other people. During these times you may need more than a friend to help you work through a life crisis. Giving support, comfort and understanding to help people through a time of crisis is our mission.
We believe that healing can occur when we allow Jesus into our lives. Pastoral counseling points to the hope and truth for healing found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
